Info for students with NRW SemesterTicket:
As a supplement to the SemesterTicket, we offer a Deutschlandticket upgrade for students in the VRR at a price of 12.33 euros per month. This extends the validity of the SemesterTicket to the whole of Germany. The Upgrade Ticket is available exclusively in our app redy.
Advantages of the Deutschlandticket:
- Travel as much as you want
- Valid throughout Germany on all local buses and trains
- Can be cancelled monthly
- Available digitally or as a chip card
- As a supplement: The „Fahrrad Aboticket" (VRR) – a bicycle subscription ticket for the VRR area
- For all those for whom comfort is particularly important: the 1st class Aboticket (VRR)
The Deutschlandticket builds on the success of the nine-euro ticket from last year and is a permanent offer. Switching to bus and rail has never been so easy. Try it out!
Going abroad with the Deutschlandticket
That's right: With the Deutschlandticket, you can even travel to neighboring countries on certain routes! This is because fare boundaries are often not located on national borders, but at train stations - and in some cases these are located abroad.
You can reach these places with the Deutschlandticket, for example:
- Netherlands: Venlo, Arnhem, Hengelo, Enschede
- Denmark: Tønder
- France: Lauterbourg, Wissembourg
- Austria: Griesen, Salzburg, Kufstein
- Poland: Świnoujście Centrum, Zgorzelec, Krzewina Zgorzelecka
- Switzerland: Basel, Schaffhausen
- Czech Republic: Hradek nad Nisou, Vejprty, Varnsdorf
