Now you can transfer from your bike even more comfortably: In our new Bicycle Garages, your bike is safe, dry – and right at the stop.
You may have already seen them: Our modern Bike + Ride Bicycle Garages in Düsseldorf and Meerbusch. Locked, roofed and video-monitored. From September, you can book parking spaces via the redy app.
The B+R Bicycle Garages are located at the following stops:

Costs of a parking space:
- For 24 hours: 1 euro
- For 7 days: 5 Euro
- For 30 days: 15 Euro
- For 90 days: 40 Euro
How to book the B+R Bicycle Garages in the redy app:
- Click on the Bike+Ride symbol in the offer selection.
- If necessary, expand the search area to find stations.
- Select a station by clicking on the map.
- Click on Book pitch.
- Select the rental period and confirm your booking.
- Click the "Open B+R facility" button on site (in the app).
- Enter the PIN on the control panel of the station and open the door.
- Set the wheel (free choice of space), secure it with a lock and then close the door manually.

- Where are the bicycle garages located?
There are around 14 bicycle garages in 11 locations. In Düsseldorf they are located at the stops at Wittlaer, Klemensplatz, Aachener Platz, Staufenplatz, Werstener Dorfstraße, Holthausen. In Meerbusch, they are located at the stops at Büderich-Landsknecht, Forsthaus, Haus Meer, Bovert and Hoterheide.
- How much is the rent for a parking space?
The rent is:
- For 24 hours: 1€
- For 7 days: 5€
- For 30 days: 15€
- For 90 days: 40€

- How can I rent a parking space?
- Dowload the redy app.
- Click on the Bike+Ride symbol in the offer selection.
- If necessary, expand the search area to find stations.
- Select a station by clicking on the map.
- Click on Book pitch.
- Select the rental period and confirm your booking.

- What kind of security is there for the bicycles on site? Are the bicycles monitored?
- The bicycle collection facility is locked and can only be opened after a successful authorisation check using the redy app.
- The bicycle itself must be locked using a conventional lock in the bicycle collection facility.
- The bicycle collection facilities are video monitored.
- Are the parking spaces covered?
Yes, the bicycle collection facilities have an environmentally friendly planted roof.
- Who is liable for damage or loss?
- Who do I contact if my bicycle is damaged?
If your bicycle is damaged, contact the following email address: bikeandride@rheinbahn.de.
- How good are the public transport connections?
All bicycle collection facilities are located close to stops/stations.
- Do I need a subscription to public transport to rent a parking space?
No. To reserve a parking space all you need is a redy account.
- How is the B+R bicycle garage locked?
After parking and securing your bicycle, simply lock the gate of the bicycle garage from the outside. Please do ensure that you have taken all your valuables with you.
- What are the payment options?
To pay for a parking space, SEPA Direct Debit, credit card and PayPal can be used.
- Who can I contact in an emergency if, e.g., the bicycle collection facility cannot be opened or I am locked into the garage?
By telephone on the following number: + 49 211 5822829 will be able to help you in the event of an emergency.
The gate of the bicycle garage can be opened from the inside at any time.
- What is the capacity of a bicycle garage?
Each bicycle collection facility offers space for 20 bicycles and is divided into two levels.
- Are there any other parking options at these locations?
Yes, in some locations there is also a bicycle support stand to which you can lock your bicycle. These are available free of charge, however they are not monitored and have no cover.
- What is the maximum size and weight for bicycles?
Bicycles should not exceed the following measurements:
- 1.16 m high
- 1.98 m long
- 0.80 m wide
- 55 mm tyre width
For the upper parking level, bicycles should not exceed a maximum weight of 18kg.
- Is there a minimum rental period for a parking space?
The minimum rental period is 24 hours.
- Is there a maximum rental period per parking space?
90 days is the maximum period possible for one booking. It is possible to extend the rental 10 days before the end of the rental period. (Only for 30- & 90-day rentals).
- Can I also vacate my parking space earlier than planned?
You can vacate your parking space earlier than planned, however no reimbursement of cost is provided.
It is only possible to cancel your rental without payment before the start of the rental period.
- Can I rent several parking spaces at the same time using one account?
Yes, you can rent several spaces in one single booking.
- Are the parking spaces also suitable for motorcycles/mopeds/ e-scooters?
No, the parking spaces are too small for motorcycles/mopeds and are also not suitable for parking e-scooters. The bicycle collection facility may only be used to store bicycles.
- Is there a charging facility for e-bikes?
No, it is not possible to charge e-bikes.
- Are there any alternatives nearby for parking bicycles, if all parking spaces are occupied?
Bicycle support stands that are accessible to the public and free of charge are located near to each bicycle collection facility.
- Do bicycle garages have opening times?
No, the bicycle garages are available 24/7 every day of the year.
